Free Consultation and Assessment for new patients.
Before any treatment is considered, I personally conduct a one-on-one assessment with each new patient. This usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes, at no cost to the patient.

Please bring it with you on your first appointment. It is here that I can evaluate which treatments are ideally suited. While Acupuncture can result in the successful treatment of many conditions, the number of sessions required can vary, by condition and by patient. I like to discuss a course of action with each patient to ensure we meet their expectations. Open communication from the outset allows both me as the practitioner and you as the patient to better gauge success and manage expectations.
Preparing for your treatment:
Please eat a light meal no sooner than two hours before your visit. Overly hungry or an overly full stomach raises the risk of dizziness or nausea. Alcoholic drinks should be avoided before treatments as well.
Please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing.
During an acupuncture treatment:
Before each treatment, we will evaluate your condition by asking you questions about how you feel and your health history. We will also check your pulse and examine your tongue to judge your health condition (therefore, please try to avoid eating or drinking anything that would color your tongue).
When the pre-treatment examination is completed, you will then be directed to the acupuncture table. We only use sterilized, disposable Acupuncture needles, they are gently inserted and remain in place for about half an hour while you rest in a calming environment. Most patients feel very relaxed and some even fall asleep during the treatment. Herbal supplements may be recommended to support your treatment.
Course of Treatment:
Each patient and condition is unique. The number and frequency of treatments will vary from patient to patient. For cosmetic and acupuncture treatment, a recommended course of treatment is 10 sessions; For condition like insomnia, we recommend 15 sessions. The best frequency is once or twice a week followed by a once a month maintenance treatment.
New conditions for pain management usually can see results in just one or two treatments. Conditions that have persisted may take longer time for the body to respond. The recommended frequency is also once or twice a week.
